Ulaanbaatar Mayor meets delegates of South Korean IT companies

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On May 18, S.Batbold, Governor of Capital City and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city received delegates of information technology sector of the Republic of Korea. The meeting was attended by the authorities of Ulaanbaatar city departments and heads of some South Korean IT companies. 
 
At the meeting, UB Mayor S.Batbold said mentioned the founding of the Youth Development Department in Mongolia, which is the first state-run organization responsible for youth issues and said "I am glad that information technology training are being held in cooperation between the Youth Development Department and South Korean IT companies, enabling employment opportunities for youngsters.

He further informed that a Ulaanbaatar business incubator center is planned to be established in the capital city of Mongolia. In this regard, Ulaanbaatar city is ready to cooperate with the South Korean IT companies to implement projects aimed at giving vocational training and improving competitiveness for young people of Mongolia”. 

In turn, the heads of the South Korean companies at the meeting expressed their willingness to provide giving vocational training for Mongolian young specialists, and to Data Backup Center and IT design center in Ulaanbaatar as well as to develop IT outsourcing system in cooperation with the Youth Development Department, and MKIT education center, the project financed by the Korean International Cooperation Agency / KOICA/.  Also, an issue of building energy-efficient apartments in Ulaanbaatar was discussed.
