Hub Innovation Center opens

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ With aims to develop start-up businesses in Capital city, support ideas and innovations, and render assistance to growing start-up businesses, an Innovation Day of Capital city was organized on June 6. Concurrently, inauguration ceremony of Hub Innovation Center took place as well.
At the initiative of the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city and Governor of Capital city, the Governor’s Office of Capital city the Hub Innovation Center has been established in the building of Ulaanbaatar Ensemble, renovating a space of 1500 meter square.
The first floor of the Hub Innovation Center is designated for start-up development and accelerator offices, restroom, and conference and seminar rooms. The second floor will put into operation soon, that is designated for individuals, students and businessmen who in need of office. Hub Innovation Center will select start-up businesses which aim to solve priority issues in Ulaanbaatar. As a result, selected start-up businesses will be able to use 13 rooms with a capacity of four to 12 people of Hub Innovation Center.

Hub Innovation Center will provide variety of opportunities to start-up businessmen such as creating comfortable environment to work, networking with successful businessmen and receiving help from them.
As one of examples of successful cooperation between government and private organizations, Unread will manage operations of Hub Innovation Center.
Inauguration ceremony was held with attendances of MPs, Chairmen of the Citizens’ Representative Meeting of Capital city, Mayor of Capital city and Governor of Ulaanbaatar city S.Batbold, administrative officials of Capital city, representatives from start-up companies, mentors, and government and non-government organizations.
Mayor of Capital city and Governor of Ulaanbaatar city S.Batbold said that Hub Innovation Center is creating comfortable environment for youths who are starting their start-up businesses and everyone who interested in realizing their new ideas and innovations. New business ideas based on knowledge is the main factor of sustainable development and world trend is being followed by countries.
He also expressed his confidence that the new innovation center will show concrete results in direction of supporting young entrepreneurs.
