Norwegian Lutheran Mission implementing project for children with disabilities

Khovd /MONTSAME/ Norwegian Lutheran Mission Organisation started implementing a pre-project ‘Strengthening Children with Disabilities’ Development’ in Khovd and Bayan-Ulgii aimags, reported on June 6.
In the scope of the pre-project, Governor of Khovd aimag D.Galsandondog and Urban Representative of NLM Bjorn O.Sorhus have signed a Cooperation Agreement.
Mainly funded by the Norwegian Government (NORAD), the pre-project is aimed at improving life conditions of children with disabilities and their families’ and, protecting and respecting their rights. The first target group of the pre-project is children with disabilities who live in Khovd and Bayan-Ulgii aimags while the second target group is the Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities.
Norwegian Lutheran Mission started its operation in Mongolia in 1994 with the financing of the NORAD or the Government of Norway. Since 2008, NLM has been implementing projects towards health and children’s rights in western regions of Mongolia.
