Solar powered water kiosk opens in Dornogobi aimag

Dornogobi /MONTSAME/ Solar powered water kiosk has opened in Urgun soum, Dornogobi aimag.

Sainshand Wind Park LLC built the solar powered water kiosk with its own financing. The solar powered water kiosk has a capacity of watering 3000 livestock per day. Officials highlighted that herders are now able to water their livestock, saving money for electricity.

Opening ceremony was attended by Governor of Dornogobi aimag T.Enkhtuvshin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Germany to Mongolia Elizabeth Barsacq, authorities of Sainshand Wind Park LLC and Urgun soum, and representatives of locals.

Sainshand Wind Park LLC is implementing the Sainshand wind farm project in Sainshand with the financing of USD 120 million of the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Denmark’s Export Credit Agency. The construction work of the Sainshand wind farm is going intensively. So far, Sainshand Wind Park LLC has installed about 10 wind turbines. The executor is planning to wrap up the construction work in late July and put into operations.
