National currency in circulation reaches MNT 917.1 billion

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The money supply reached MNT 17.2 trillion at the end of July 2018, showing a decrease of MNT 153.5 billion (0.9%) from the previous month and an increase of MNT 3.2 trillion (22.8%) from the same period of the previous year.
At the end of July 2018, the national currency in circulation reached MNT 917.1 billion, decreased by MNT 14.0 billion (1.5%) from the previous month, but is increased by MNT 29.5 billion (3.3%) from the same period of the previous year.
At the end of July 2018, the amount of outstanding loan to entities, enterprises and citizens amounted MNT 15.6 trillion, increased by MNT 192.5 billion (1.3%) from the previous month and by MNT 2.6 trillion (19.6%) from the same period of the previous year.
At the end of July 2018, the principals in arrears amounted MNT 1035.8 billion, increased by MNT 206.3 billion (24.9%) from the previous month, and by MNT 143.7 billion (16.1%) from the same period of the previous year.
At the end of July 2018, the non-performing loans at the banks system amounted MNT 1.3 trillion, increased by MNT 13.2 billion (1.0%) from the previous month and by MNT 180.5 billion (15.7%) from the same period of the previous year.
In the first 7 months of 2018, 403.0 million pieces of securities worth of MNT 295.0 billion were traded at the national stock market, which is decreased by MNT 628.8 billion (68.1%) compared to the same period of previous year.
In July 2018, average of top 20 indexes of the financial markets was 19537.0 units, decreased by 200.5 units from the previous month and increased by 5926.8 units from the same period of 2017.
Average exchange rate of MNT to US dollars announced from Bank of Mongolia in July 2018 was MNT 2462.83, which is depreciated by 2.2% from the same period of the previous year and 1.3% from the previous month.
