　6月27日、マンモスの牙がドルノド県バヤンドン郡の金鉱従業員であるP.オドバヤルさんによって発見された。彼は8月3日にそれをモンゴル科学アカデミー古生物学研究センターに届け出たと、12日、弊社モンツァメ通信が発表した。調査結果では、大きさが1m×20cmの巨大牙と長さが30cmの2つの小さな牙を発見された。専門家によれば、巨大な牙は推定1万5000年～3万5000年前のものかもしれないという。
