Mongolian delegation participates in the 2018 IAP

Ulaanbaatar /MONSTAME/ Officials including Senior Advisor to Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia L.Sayanaa, Deputy Head of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Ts.Ganzorig and the United Nations (UN) Representative N.Tsetsegmaa took part in the 2018 ISDR Asia Partnership Forum (IAP), held on December 11-12 in Bangkok, Thailand.

A total of 150 representatives including government delegates from 20 Asia Pacific countries, 15 specialized agencies of the UN, 15 intergovernmental and regional cooperation agencies and private sector participated in the forum.

Senior Advisor to Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia L.Sayanaa participated in the ‘Gaps and Challenges in Developing DRR Strategies and Implementing Sendai Framework at Regional Level’ discussion as a panelist. Deputy Head of NEMA, colonel Ts.Ganzorig was panelist of the ‘Developing DTT Strategies: Linking National Strategies to Regional Plan’.

The stakeholders discussed implementation of the Asia Regional Plan, exchanged information and identified key gaps in implementation of disaster risk reduction in the region.
