Workshop on active surveillance on medical aid infection takes place

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In the frameworks of the Fifth Health Sector Development Project funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Ministry of Health organized a workshop under the topic, ‘Active Surveillance on Infection caused by Medical Services’, took place at the Third Central Hospital on February 21-22.
Led by consultant at Canadian Society for International Health Lewis Tomalty, the workshop was organized in aims of informing about methods to do active surveillance on infection caused by medical services, research on such incidents as well as understanding the result of the bacteriology laboratory examination.
Doctors and nurses in the intensive treatment and surgery departments, bacteriology researcher and nursing methodologist of the Third Central Hospital as well as the corresponding doctors and staff of the Khan-Uul District Central Hospital participated in the workshop.
