Child sponsorship program of World Vision to be implemented in Orkhon

Governor of Orkhon aimag D.Batlut met with Philip Ewert, National Director at
World Vision Mongolia.
The sides agreed to carry out World Vision’s child sponsorship program in Orkhon aimag and that MNT 50 million will be allocated from the
local budget for the implementation.
Moreover, the sides signed an agreement on jointly implementing the World Vision’s project on city resilience. The project will be implemented until September, 2020 in nine districts and nine sub-districts of Ulaanbaatar, and four organizations and six bags of Orkhon aimag with USD 380 thousand funded by the World vision and USAID, according to an employee of the organization M.Azzaya.
The
successful project implementation is anticipated to reduce disaster risks in settlements, improve local disaster management, and ensure
enforcement of the Law on Disaster Protection and the National Program on Community Based
Disaster Risk Reduction.
