Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. A Mongolian delegation led by Commissioner-General of the National Police Agency S.Baatarjav attended the 15th Heads of National Central Bureau (NCB) Conference, which took place on April 9-11 in Lyon, France. During the conference, Commissioner-General S.Baatarjav met President of Interpol Kim Jong Yang.

The President of Interpol expressed his gratitude for consistently supporting the initiatives and programmes implemented by Interpol and contributing to international police cooperation, and underlined the readiness of both the Interpol and the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) to support the National Police Agency of Mongolia in combating crime.

Mentioning that despite the establishment of comprehensive partnership between Mongolia and the Republic of Korea, cooperation of the national police agencies of the two countries has not reached the level, Commissioner-General S.Baatarjav then requested the Interpol President to give special attention to the issue.

At the end of the meeting, the Interpol President noted that a solution of the issue will be discussed with the Commissioner-General of KNPA, and then continued on to say that he will also request the Secretary General of Interpol to involve the National Police of Mongolia in the programme being implemented by KNPA, which intends to share experience and give technical support, as well as other issues discussed at the meeting.
