NEMA signs partnership plan with Buryatian counterpart

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. A working meeting between National Emergency Management Agency and Department the Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief of Russia in Buryatia took place in Ulan-Ude, Russia on April 7-10 in 2018 to review the partnership and approve the plan for 2019.


The meeting was attended by Head of State Reserve and Humanitarian Assistance, Lieutenant colonel Ch.Tsogbayar, executives of the Emergency Management Agencies of Orkhon, Bulgan, Darkhan-Uul, Selenge and Tuv aimags as well as other emergency officials.


The sides discussed the achievements and good practices used to eliminate damages in 2018 in the frameworks of the partnership in disaster prevention in the border region and the current state of disasters and emergencies. Evaluating the implementation of the 2018 partnership plan, they then signed the plan for 2019.


They also came to the decision to establish a partnership between the Emergency Management and Warning Center of the Emergency Management Agency of Orkhon aimag and the Emergency Management and Warning Center of the Republican Civil Defense and Emergencies Agency of Buryatia.
