Volleyball competition held among Mongolians in the UK

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the First Volleyball Competition held among Mongolians in the United Kingdom on May 26, ‘West London’ team in men’s category and ‘Blue Sky’ team in women’s category won the first places and received Cups and gold medals.
Athlete of ‘Khiimori’ team N.Altansukh and athlete of ‘Blue Sky’ team T.Indra became the best male and female spikers of the tournament. The competition will be organized annually in the future.
International Master of Sports L.Narantuya, V.Kherlen, Ts.Byambasuren, Master of Volleyball Sport L.Tsoggerel, Ch.Bayarmaa, Ch.Khulan, Ch.Enkhtsetseg and N.Zolboo worked as coaches. Mongolians Volleyball Club in the UK organized the competition in collaboration with the Embassy of Mongolia in the United Kingdom and Mongolian Association in the UK. Moreover, individuals and organizations such as A.Dagiinyam, G-StudioMN in London, Master Beauty Salon and Anir Day Spa supported the tournament.
During the competition, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland N.Tulga was awarded with ‘Honorary medal’ of 90th anniversary of the Mongolian Volleyball Association (MVA) and initiator of the first volleyball competition and Master of Volleyball Z.Otgonbayar with ‘Honorary Badge’ of the association.
Five men, who live in Great Britain, made a team three years ago to participate in the fourth Volleyball Championship of Mongolians in Europe that took place in 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden and the team has expanded becoming a club in three years, holding its first contest.
In addition, the annual Volleyball Championship of Mongolians in Europe will be held in Berlin, Germany this year.
