President Kh.Battulga meets President of Russian Academy of Sciences

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On September 7, President Kh.Battulga received delegates led by the President of Russian Academy of Sciences, academician A.M.Sergeyev during his visit to Mongolia.
In the beginning, President
Kh.Battulga emphasized that the first-ever visit of delegates of RAS,
especially its President, to Mongolia after 98 years and signing of the renewed
cooperation agreement between Academies of Sciences of the two countries are a
proof of further expansion of bilateral partnership in scientific fields.
Defining directions of joint research works within the agreement and building a mechanism of further permanent cooperation should be focused first of all, said the President, expressing his commitment to support.
A space science is a part of
Mongolia-Russia deep cooperation in scientific sector. The sides exchanged
views in detail about possibilities to cooperate intensively in the sector.
Besides they discussed a
wide range of issues including the budget of scientific sector and regional
sector’s development. President Kh.Battulga asked Mr. Sergeyev to give emphasis
on bilateral cooperation as initiatives, studies and researches of scientists
are vital for rapid development.
