Ulaanbaatar International Film Festival opens

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On October 14, 11th annual Ulaanbaatar International Film festival launched with an opening ceremony and screening of German drama ‘A Bigger World’ by Fabienne Berthaud.


This year commemorating the 380th anniversary of Ulaanbaatar city, the film festival is being jointly organized by Ulaanbaatar Governor’s Office, Arts Council of Mongolia, Mongolian Film Council, Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, Embassy of France, Embassy of Australia, Goethe Institute Mongolia and Nomadia Pictures LLC. Running for the eleventh year, the film festival has become an event that people look forward to during the year.


Each day of the film festival will be dedicated to different country and the audience will have the opportunity to see this year’s best films from Germany, Mongolia, France, Australia and international films until October 20.


Check out the 2019 Ulaanbaatar Film Festival screening schedule below. All films are screened at the Tengis Cinema and tickets (MNT 5000 per ticket) are available for purchase prior to each screening.
