Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ With support of the Embassy of China and the China Foundation for Peace and Development, a 50-bed children’s hospital has been commissioned in Biocombinat or 12th khoroo, Khan-Uul district of the capital city.

Built with financing of USD 500 thousand, the three-floor hospital has been equipped with the latest medical equipment and devices worth USD 150 thousand in total.

Extending her gratitude to the Chinese side on rendering all round support to Mongolia’s health sector, Minister of Health D.Sarangerel said that this is a big event which have been brought medical assistance and service closer to the citizens living in suburban areas of the capital city as a result of cooperation between Mongolia and China. The China Foundation for Peace and Development has been fulfilling works on making medical service closer to the citizens who are living on outskirts of the city since 2015. “On the khoroo’s level, there is a very few hospitals that offer modern hospital aids and service. Most importantly, the hospital is special as having a dental unit where the national program ‘Healthy tooth-Healthy child’ can be implemented” said the Minister.

Ambassador of China to Mongolia Xin Haiming pointed out that bilateral relations and cooperation have been broadening with deep political mutual understandings and said that the hospital is a friendship symbol of the two countries. I believe that the sides would carry out projects and programs, which will give benefits to the people of the two countries, in the future. The China Foundation for Peace and Development backs up operation of our Embassy and it has been undertaking humanitarian projects in Mongolia for many years. I am also confident that the Foundation would carry out numerous projects in Mongolia further.

Prior to the children's hospital in Biocombinat, the Foundation had built children's hospitals in Nalaikh, Bayanzurkh and Chingeltei districts with non-refundable aid and fully furnished them with up-to-date medical equipment.
