Vehicle History Report now available on Ebarimt app, Gerege kiosk

Users are now able to access to vehicle history report of used auto vehicles imported to Mongolia after April 1, 2020 through the Ebarimt and Gerege digital systems by entering the Vehicle Identification Number of each vehicle. Customs, Taxation and Financial Information Technological Center state-owned company under the Ministry of Finance and the Authority for Fair Competition and Consumer Protection (AFCCP) today held a press briefing to introduce a new feature for Ebarimt application for VAT promotion system and 146 types of government services to the public, and Gerege kiosk of multi-purpose payment system.
The vehicle history report easily provides information on vehicles’ accident history, past damages, repairs and maintenance, mileage, customs registration history, etc.
Director of the AFCCP B.Bat-Erdene said “This new addition for public service developed in cooperation with the National Auto Transportation Center will help consumers to avoid purchasing vehicles that are potentially unsafe or cars with hidden problems, saving their time and money.
The relevant organizations are now working to enable consumers to check history of all vehicles imported from Japan and the Republic of Korea that are already in use in Mongolia, as around 70-80 percent of all vehicles in a daily traffic on roads in Mongolia are Japanese and Korean-manufactured vehicles.
In 2019, 934,142 vehicles were registered in Mongolia and 735,000 of them are moving on roads on a daily basis, and 76 percent of the vehicles on the road are aged 10 or more years. 69,472 vehicles were imported to Mongolia in 2019.
