Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city D.Sumiyabazar issued an ordinance on January 20 to dismiss Head of the Health Department of the Capital City L.Tumurbaatar from his position. 


The decision was made in connection with the mishandling of the relocation of a coronavirus patient and her newborn baby between hospitals. A peaceful protest triggered by the situation held on January 20, 2021, and forced Deputy Prime Minister Ya.Sodbaatar and T.Munkhsaikhan to announce their resignation. 


G.Bayasgalan, Head of the Urgoo state maternity hospital, where the woman gave birth to her baby, has been dismissed from her job as well.
