Transport Minister holds virtual meeting with Ambassador of Kazakhstan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Road and Transport
Development L.Khaltar discussed bilateral road and transport relations and
cooperation with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic
of Kazakhstan to Mongolia Zhalgas Adilbayev during a virtual meeting.
Minister L.Khaltar voiced hope that the important road and
transport development works discussed at the 8th meeting of Mongolia-Kazakhstan
Intergovernmental Commission for trade, economic, scientific, technical and
cultural cooperation will be carried out through effective cooperation. The
Minister expressed an interest in actively cooperating in the establishment of a transport-logistics
center and in the study of Mongolia-Russia-Kazakhstan railroad once
international traffic resumes.
It was also noted at the meeting that Hunnu Air LLC has
been selected to operate flights on the route Ulaanbaatar-Nur-Sultan-Ulaanbaatar
in accordance with the Mongolia-Kazakhstan Air Transport Agreement and the
Kazakhstani side expressed readiness to provide the necessary support for Hunnu
Air LLC to operate flights on the Ulaanbaatar-Almaty-Ulaanbaatar route.
The sides agreed to sign the Mongolia-Kazakhstan Intergovernmental
Agreement on Cooperation in Aviation Search and Rescue in the near future and
further expand cooperation in road and railroad transport.
