1,364 coronavirus cases recorded, total rises to 144,492

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Daily COVID-19 press briefing for today, July 16, Friday, reported that 1,364 new coronavirus cases were detected nationwide in the past 24 hours.
In specific, 769 new cases were confirmed in Ulaanbaatar city and 595 cases were detected in rural aimags.
As a result, the nationwide infection tally has now reached 144,492, with 106,116 cases of them are recorded in Ulaanbaatar city.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 3,730 patients were recovered, making the total number of COVID-19 recoveries 121,953. As of July 16, a total of 14,824 coronavirus patients are being treated at hospitals and clinics or under home isolation in Ulaanbaatar city and rural aimags.
National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD), the primary healthcare organization in the country responding to the pandemic, reported 9 new COVID-19 related deaths, raising the country's death toll to 716.
