State Secretary of Foreign Ministry attends ‘UN Day’ event

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. State Secretary of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs N.Ankhbayar extended greetings at the ‘UN
Day’ event organized virtually by the the United Nations Economic and Social
Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) on October 25.

Guterres, Executive Secretary of the UN-ESCAP Armida Alisjahbana and foreign ministers of the countries participated in the celebratory event, and they emphasized the
contribution made by the UN in ensuring peace and security for economic and
social development around the world.
Highlighting the significant role of the UN and its agencies, including the UN-ESCAP in addressing socio-economic challenges facing the region, and
determining common priorities, N.Ankhbayar noted that Mongolia is actively collaborating with UN-ESCAP
in the fields of trade, investment, environment, statistic, disaster risk
reduction, transit transport, trade facilitation, and protection of the
interests of landlocked developing countries.
