Italian company proposes cooperating in wool and cashmere industry

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ President
of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) O.Amartuvshin
held a meeting with Honorary Consul of Mongolia in Italy Paolo Bonetti and
representatives of Calzedonia company.
At the meeting, it was noted that Calzedonia started manufacturing wool and cashmere products in 2015. The company showed an interest in cooperating with Mongolia in the industry and the sides exchanged views on issues faced in preparing and transporting raw materials.
MNCCI President O.Amartuvshin
provided brief information on the current stet of Mongolia’s wool and cashmere
industry, emphasizing that the government is pursuing a policy to develop the
industry through clusters besides focusing greatly on export promotion. He also
said it is possible to provide full support and cooperate with the Italian
side.
