Traditional winter sports festival to take place

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 7th festival of traditional Mongolian winter sports will kick off at Sky Resort ski resort on February 18-20 presenting two main types of competitions which are ice knuckle-bone shooting and ice archery.


Came racing will be featured as a demonstration sport in this year’s festival. The race will be held in Baruunbayan-Ulaan soum of Uvurkhangai aimag on March 5-6.


The festival aimed at promoting the heritage of traditional winter sports with a long history to the younger generation has an important significance in developing policies to promote the national sports.
