Education Minister takes part in 2nd Asia-Pacific Regional Education Ministers’ Conference

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Mongolia’s delegates led by Minister of Education and Science L.Enkh-Amgalan took part in the 2nd Asia-Pacific Regional Education Ministers’ Conference (APREMC II) held in Bangkok, the Kingdom of Thailand on June 5-7.


On June 6, Minister L.Enkh-Amgalan held a meeting with Chairperson of the Executive Board of UNESCO Tamara Rastovac Siamashvili. During the meeting, the Minister informed that Mongolia aims to work as a member of the Executive Board of UNESCO. In addition, the sides agreed to translate a book ‘Reimagining Education: A new social contract for education’ into Mongolian and organize a national discussion.


Moreover, the sides discussed issues regarding the preparations for upcoming visit of the UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay to Mongolia and documents to be signed during the visit.
