South Korea’s “One Asia Program” in Mongolia

8, 2023 /MONTSAME/.The Member of the
State Great Khural J. Chinburen welcomed Chang Sin Jung, the chairman of the
National Tuberculosis (TB) Association of South Korea, and other
representatives and held a meeting on February 2.
During this meeting,
the two sides exchanged views on the international programs to improve the early
diagnosis, treatment, and regular check-ups of tuberculosis, and the progress
of other programs which are being implemented right now.
In the framework of implementing the “Building Capacity to Enhance Early Diagnosis and Clinical Management of TB Program”, two sides are planning to establish a “One Asia- Infectious Disease Research Center” in Mongolia using the high technologies which are used for Covid-19 and BT detection in South Korea.
The Government of
Mongolia funded the project of a new “Hospital for TB” in the Bayanzurkh
district. “One Asia Program” is well-coordinated with this project too. We’re
ready to cooperate on effective projects to fight against TB and improve its
diagnosis and treatments." said J. Chinburen.
The next topics of the
meeting were to develop AI technology, especially mobile apps under the name of
the “One Asia Program” and training programs for doctors and nurses.
