Ulaanbaatar, February 5, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Summary of events for the week of February 5 – 11, 2024.


In Ulaanbaatar:

February 7-8Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier will pay a State Visit to Mongolia at the invitation of President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa.

February 5: "Green Economy" Government Meeting will be held at "Puma-Imperial" Hotel on the topic of "Sustainable Development and Renewable Energy".

February 5: "Internom" will launch a piano book with Mongolian songs for children over 5 years old.

February 7: The regular meeting of the Cabinet will be held at the State Palace.

February 7: "Mongolia's Mining Industry and Foreign Direct Investment" Discussion will be held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

February 10: The traditional Mongolian Lunar New Year will be celebrated.

The 100th Anniversary Meeting and Tribute Concert for the 'Soyombo' newspaper, which initially reached readers in 1924 under the name 'People's Soldier' and later became known as the 'Red Star' newspaper, will be held at the House of Officers.

The "Campaign for Dissemination of Business Ethics" will be organized at the national level by the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Business Ethics Centre, "Transparency International Mongolia" NGO, and "Rio Tinto".


Local events:

February 5: "The First Conference of Engineers" will be organized for the branches working in Umnugobi aimag.

February 3-5: State decorations of Honored Herders of Mongolia will be awarded in the soums of Khovd aimag.

February 5: Sukhbaatar province's State decorations of Honored Herders of Mongolia will be awarded in a unified manner.

February 5: State decorations, such as Honored Herders and Farmers of Dundgobi aimag will be presented to the Governor’s Office of Dundgobi aimag.

February 5-7: Awards will be presented to outstanding employees, best teams, leading agencies and organizations of Uvurkhangai aimag.

February 6: The Governor of Arkhangai aimag will sign a cooperation and results agreement in 2024 with the Governors of soums and heads of organizations.

February 7: Culture and Art Department of Bayan-Ulgii aimag will organize the competition "Let's Dress Up in National Costumes as a Family" on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.
