Cooperation Documents Between Mongolia and Laos Signed

President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, President of the Lao People's
Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoulith is paying a State Visit to Mongolia on
June 11-12, 2024.
During the State Visit of President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa to the Lao People's Democratic Republic (LPDR) in November of 2023, the two sides signed three Intergovernmental Agreements on Aviation Relations, Cooperation in Animal Quarantine and Veterinary Medicine, and Cooperation in Plant Quarantine and Protection. Additionally, they signed four cooperation documents in Tourism, Protection of Natural Resources and Environment, and Culture.
To ensure the realization of the abovementioned intergovernmental agreements and expand relations and cooperation between the two countries, during the State Visit of President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoulith to Mongolia, the following documents were signed.
-Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Health of Mongolia and the Ministry of Health of Laos in Health and Medicine
The two parties will expand and develop cooperation in the health and medicine sector, based on the priorities and needs in the health sector of the two countries. In particular, knowledge and experience will be exchanged in the fields of diagnostic and therapeutic methods, surgery, and emergency care.
-Protocol between the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia and the Ministry of Industry and Forestry of Laos on the Export of Cattle, Horse, Sheep and Goat Meat from Mongolia to Laos and the Hygiene Requirements for Animal Originated Products
The two sides agreed and confirmed the form and conditions of the “International Veterinary Certificate for the Export of Sheep, Goat, and Horse Meat from Mongolia to the LPDR, enabling meat export and expanding cooperation in the veterinary field. The document aims at ensuring the implementation of the Intergovernmental Agreement on Cooperation in Veterinary Services and Quarantine of Animals and Livestock established in 2023.
-Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation Between the Civil Service Council of Mongolia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Laos
Cooperation in civil service reform will be developed through the exchange of best practices and information and the conduction of the joint training and research.
