Baasankhuu Ascends to the Top of the Women’s 48 kg in IJF Ranking List

Ulaanbaatar, August 7, 2024 /MONTSAME/. After the judo competition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the International Judo Federation (IJF) updated its World Ranking List.


From Mongolia, Olympic Silver Medalist and World Champion Baasankhuu Bavuudorj has risen to the top of the women’s 48 kg category. Meanwhile, International Master of Sports Erdenebayar Batzaya has improved his ranking by seven places in the 73 kg category, now standing at 19th.


In addition, Honored Athlete of Mongolia Enkhriilen Lkhagvatogoo has moved up three places in the 57 kg category. Nyam-Erdene Batsuuri has advanced one place in the 70 kg category, and Khuslen Otgonbayar has climbed two places in the -78 kg category. Sosorbaram Lkhagvasuren in the 52 kg category and Gankhaich Bold in the 63 kg category have maintained their rankings.


In other weight categories, the rankings of Mongolian athletes have fallen by 1 to 18 places.
