Mongolian Delegation Visits WHO Representative's Office in China

Ulaanbaatar, January 13, 2025 /MONTSAME/. A Mongolian delegation headed by State Secretary of the Ministry of Health of Mongolia Ochirbat Dagvadorj visited the World Health Organization (WHO) Representative’s Office in the People’s Republic of China and met WHO Representative to China Dr. Martin Taylor and other officials on January 10, 2025.


During the visit, WHO officials presented the Organization's support and cooperation with the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Officials of the Center and WHO answered the Mongolian delegation’s inquiries on China’s health system, measures taken to combat prevalent non-communicable diseases among the population, and cooperation between the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and other health organizations in China to ensure readiness to respond to serious emergencies and public health crises. WHO Representative to China Dr. Martin Taylor expressed commitment to cooperate with the WHO Office in Mongolia to provide support in establishing a Center for Disease Control and Prevention in the country. 


State Secretary of the Ministry of Health of Mongolia Ochirbat Dagvadorj expressed gratitude to the WHO Representative’s Office in China for organizing this visit and providing the opportunity to get acquainted with the structure and operations of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
