Murun Purevdorj Ranks 76th at the 2025 Dakar Rally

Ulaanbaatar, January 21, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The 2025 Dakar Rally, often dubbed the "Olympics of auto and motorcycle sports" for its rich history since 1977 and reputation as one of the world's most challenging endurance races, has concluded.
International Master of Sports, Murun Purevdorj, represented Mongolia in the motorcycle category, covering a grueling 7,500 km course in Bisha, Saudi Arabia. Out of 135 competitors, Murun achieved an overall ranking of 76th. His standout performance was in the seventh stage, where he secured a top-28 finish, a remarkable feat in the 14-day race.
The 27-year-old rider comes from a distinguished lineage of athletes. His father, A. Purevdorj, is also an International Master of Motor Sports. Over his career, Murun has competed in 73 national and 10 international events, amassing an impressive 45 gold, 19 silver, and seven bronze medals.
