World Leaders Extend Condolences on the Passing of Honorable Ochirbat Punsalmaa

Ulaanbaatar, January 24, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Heads of State and Government of countries around the world have extended condolences for the passing of Honorable Ochirbat Punsalmaa, First President of Mongolia, Chairman of the Presidium of the People’s Great Khural of the Mongolian People’s Republic, Laureate of the State Supreme Decoration of Mongolia, "Order of Chinggis Khaan," a distinguished statesman, and a public figure.

President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa has received letters of condolence from United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, Prime Minister of Japan Shigeru Ishiba, President of the Republic of Estonia Alar Karis, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Lương Cường, President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoulith, Acting President of the Republic of Korea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance Choi Sang-mok, President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Emir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

Also, the Office of the President informs that foreign dignitaries and officials have been offering their condolences by signing condolence books at Mongolian embassies and consulates worldwide.
