Ulaanbaatar, May 16 2025 / MONTSAME/. The 37th Spring Book Festival, organized by the “Nomyn Soyolt Yurtunts” NGO, opened on May 16, 2025, under the theme “Let’s Read More.”

This year, the Book Festival is being held under the auspices of President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, and is jointly organized by the Office of the President of Mongolia, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth, the Governor’s Office of the Capital City, and the Ulaanbaatar Department of Culture and Arts.

The 37th National Book Festival aims at cultivating a reading culture and habit among citizens, children, and youth, fostering a positive attitude toward books, and promoting writers, creators, volunteer authors, the publishing sector, and public reading.

Festival events include a book fair, author–reader meetings, domestic and international publisher networking and marketing sessions, new-book launches, and special programs for children.

Held every spring and autumn, the Festival attracts more than 300,000 visitors and involves over 200 publishers along with about 300 authors, translators, editors, illustrators, and researchers.

Since the 35th Festival, the “Nomyn Soyolt Yurtunts” NGO began implementing a “Friendship Program” for foreign participants, expanding ties with international publishers. Accordingly, writers and publishers from the Russian Federation, the People’s Republic of China, and the Republic of Korea are taking part in this year’s Book Festival.
