Mongolia Wins Two Golds and One Silver at Round 4 of the Ice Climbing World Tour

Ulaanbaatar, February 24, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The fourth round of the 2025 UIAA Ice Climbing World Tour took place in Longmont, Colorado, the USA, on February 21-23, 2025. Mongolian athletes delivered outstanding performances, securing two gold and one silver medal.
In the women's speed category, International Master of Sports N. Selenge won the gold medal with a time of 12.64 seconds, marking her third consecutive victory in the World Cup series.
In the men's speed category, International Master of Sports N. Kherlen completed the course in 7.43 seconds, earning the gold medal. He is now a two-time World Cup Champion and currently holds the top spot in the world rankings. His older brother, International Master of Sports Ch. Mandakhbayar, also a two-time World Cup Champion, finished in 8.67 seconds, securing the silver medal. Also, O. Saikhanjargal placed sixth in this category.
The fourth round of the 2025 UIAA Ice Climbing World Tour brought together nearly 90 elite athletes from 15 countries, competing in strength, speed, and strategy disciplines. The host country fielded the largest team, comprising 27 climbers.
Four Mongolian athletes are expected to return home after competing in the final round of the 2025 UIAA Ice Climbing World Tour in Edmonton, Canada, on February 27, 2025.
