Semi-Centennial Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations
This year we happen to witness a momentous landmark in our bilateral relations with Turkey as it marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Although our relations marks 50 years, the two countries share a number of common features in language, culture, and traditions and have deep historical ties. Our people has been enjoying the brotherly relations through centuries.

Canadian travelers climb to the top of Mount Khuiten

Temperature to rise during daytime in most parts of the country

State special protected area to be expanded with 1.3 mln hectares
At its regular meeting on August 21, the Cabinet backed a draft parliamentary resolution on taking some areas with untamed nature, natural unique formations, and with historical, cultural, scientific and ecological significance into the state special protection and altering the frontier lines, and decided to submit it to the Parliament.

State policy on tourism approved
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On August 21, State Policy on Tourism was approved by the cabinet. Corresponding ministers Environment and Tourism Minister N.Tserenbat, Finance Minister Ch.Khurelbaatar and National Development Agency Director B.Bayarsaikhan were assigned to allocate the required financing in the annual economic and social development directions, state budget and state investment programs as well as in the international organizations’ loan and assistances or fund with the help of public-private partnerships.

Khuvsgul Lake area to be developed as eco-tourism zone
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. During its meeting held on August 21, the Cabinet approved a resolution to make an area around the Khuvsgul Lake an Eco-tourism region in order to safeguard the eco-system of the Lake and develop sustainable and environment-friendly tourism. The Khuvsgul Lake, containing almost 70 percent of Mongolia's fresh water, is one of the most popular tourism destinations of Mongolia and surrounded by beautiful landscapes.

129.4 km paved road between Bayankhongor soum and Baidrag Bridge opens
 A new 129.4 kilometer paved road from Bayankhongor soum center to Baidrag Bridge in Bayankhongor aimag opened for vehicles. The road allows western aimags to be connected to the country’s horizontal auto roads.

High-level officials from Mongolia address Boao Forum for Asia Ulaanbaatar
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On August 20-21, Mongolia is hosting the Boao Forum for Asia in Ulaanbaatar for the first time. The participants of the conference agreed that cooperation of culture and education plays a significant role in the regional development. Discussing the wide ranges of issues concerning the economic growth of the Asian countries, the conference also touched upon investment environment and economic prospects of Mongolia and corresponding government ministries of Mongolia delivered presentations at the parallel sessions.

Turning problems of Ulaanbaatar city into business opportunities

On August 20, to the guests of the Boao forum Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city S.Amarsaikhan introduced about projects open for execution in cooperation with the UB, the city developing as an economic, social, business and financial hub of Mongolia. Emphasizing that 46 percent of the total population of Mongolia is residing in Ulaanbaatar city, which accounts for 64.7 percent of the country’s GDP.

Mongolian-Russian joint military drill launches

Mongolian-Russian joint military tactical training “Selenge-2019” started at the training field of the 327th military unit of the military armed forces in Choibalsan city, Dornod aimag. The military exercise, involving more than 1500 military personnel of the two countries, will last until August 27 in Choibalsan city.
