30 meter ice tower built for trees

Tuv /MONTSAME/ An ice tower with height of 30 meter and weight of 200 ton was created by ‘Yandashgui Tal’ company with an aim to reserve water.
Director of the company Sh.Bayarbat said the ice tower was made artificially to use it in watering trees in spring.
In the frame of project ‘Plant 10 thousand trees’, the company built the ice tower, erecting 30 meter iron pole, placing shower on the top and sprinkling water. The ice tower has a purpose to keep moisture of soil in dry land from March to July. This method is introduced from Korean experience and widely used in places where there is low precipitation.

The project has been implemented since 2016, planting 3000 trees up to now. The project will be implemented for 5 years and 1000-1500 trees will be planted annually, the director said.
