Ulaanbaatar Winter Festival 2018 to take place

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Ulaanbaatar Winter Festival 2018 will take place on February 2-3 at the National Park. The Festival is annually co-organized by the Governor's Office of Ulaanbaatar City and the City’s Department of Tourism with aims to boost special interest tourism, to extend tourist season and to increase number of tourists visiting in Ulaanbaatar city during winter time.
In addition, the Festival is significant to promote Mongolian customs, tradition, traditional games and culture to foreign and domestic tourists and to introduce types of newly developing sports, and tours to the public.
Archery and knuckle-bone shooting competitions will be held during the festival and archers from neighboring countries Russia and China are expected to take part.
Also other attractive events including Ulaanbaatar Rugby Championship, Amateur Ski Competition, Ice Climbing Amateur Competition, Snowboarding Competition, performance of skaters will be organized besides offering services like dog-sledging service. The organizers advises participants to wear best traditional Mongolian costume or deel as during the Festival, the bests will be selected. Most competitions of the festival are open to citizens and tourists to participate.
