Historical exhibition of Karakorum city displayed in Italy

Uvurkhangai /MONTSAME/ 'Capital city of the steppe' exhibition about ancient capital city of Karakorum was displayed in Museo d'Arte Orientale in Turin, Italy at the end of April.
The exhibition attracted many visitors, giving detailed information on the history of Karakorum city. During the exhibition Department of Archeology of the University of Turin agreed to implement the 'Cultural Education' program for primary school students in Kharkhorin soum.
The 800th anniversary of the ancient capital city of Karakorum will be marked in 2020 and in conjunction with this 'Capital city of the steppe' exhibition was organized. The exhibition was co-organized by the Governor's Office of Kharkhorin soum, Karakorum Museum, Department of Anthropology and Archeology of the National University of Mongolia, Institute of Archeology of Mongolian Academy of Sciences and Mongolia-Germany 'Karakorum' expedition.
