Flood-hit railway line reopensSociety
Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/Due to flood caused by torrential rain at night of August 12 in Airag soum of Dornogobi aimag, the surrounding area and embankment of the rail track on 747th km in route Ulaanbaatar-Sainshand were completely waterlogged and destroyed in some parts. It caused a train No.286 to derail; therefore a traffic movement of the railway line was closed for uncertain period.
Thanks to steady work of railroad track repair team that involves over 200 rail workers and Russian support, the railway line was reopened yesterday evening, August 13.
