Education Minister receives Ambassador of China

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Yo.Baatarbileg received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Mongolia Xing Haiming on February 18.

In the beginning of the meeting, Minister Yo.Baatarbileg requested the Ambassador to support the organization of cultural days within the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and China, athletes and coaches training for the 2020 Olympics and renovation of the Sports Palace built in 1958 by the order of Mao Zedong.

Ambassador Xing Haiming congratulated Minister Yo.Baatarbileg with his appointment and the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

“2019 is a significant year for the two countries. Official visit of President Kh.Battulga to China within the anniversary is expected in April. It will be the second high level visit within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative. The cooperation is actively running in education, culture, science and sports sectors. I am confident that positive response to the request from the sports sector will be made soon. Within the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, we are focusing on humanitarian cooperation,” said Ambassador Xing Haiming expressing readiness to support cooperation in humanitarian sector.
