Views exchanged with French Ambassador on introduction of aerial transport

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Governor of the capital city S.Amarsaikhan today received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Mongolia Philippe Merlin.


"Next year will mark the 55th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and France. We developed an action plan to be carried out within the anniversary and started implementing some of them. Works to intensify cultural relations of the two countries have been running intensively. To name a few, our artists will head for Paris to perform ‘Inverted Triangle’ ethno dance performance at UNESCO stage within a project ‘Promotion on cultural heritage monuments and rock painting’. I am also pleasant that the sides agreed to have a street in Ulaanbaatar city that shows special features and culture pattern of France, " Governor S.Amarsaikhan said. 


The parties exchanged views on carrying out a project on introducing aerial transport in order to add a new type and improve access to public transport service in Ulaanbaatar city as well as to reduce traffic jam and air pollution.


At the end of the meeting, Ambassador of France to Mongolia Philippe Merlin and Minister-Counselor for Financial Affairs and Chief of Regional Economic Department of the Embassy of France in Beijing, China Jean-Marc Fenet have been awarded with 380th anniversary medal of Ulaanbaatar city in recognition of their contribution in the development of the capital city.
