78-year-old skater B.Jalbaa to compete in Winter World Masters Games

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Winter World Masters Games will be hosted in Innsbruck, Australia from January 8 to January 20. A total of 17 Mongolian athletes will take part in hockey, skate and ski events.
The eldest athlete of Mongolian team, 78-year-old B.Jalbaa will run in 500m, 1000m, 1500m and 3000m speed skating. Aside from participating in Winter Games in Innsbrusk, B.Jalbaa has successfully partaken in 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France. He also claimed a gold medal at International Speed Skating Competition held in Japan in 2018.
The Winter World Masters Games was first held in 2011 and Mongolian athletes won four gold, one silver and four bronze medals at the second Games that took place in 2015.
