Blizzard expected in most parts of the country over the weekend

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Blizzards are expected in eastern part of Uvs aimag, and northern part of Zavkhan aimag, with wind speed reaching 18-20 m/sec in Gobi-Altai, Khovd, and Bayankhongor aimags tomorrow on March 7.
Snowfall and blizzards are expected in the central, Gobi, and eastern aimags, and in the eastern parts of western aimags on March 8, in some parts of central, Gobi, and eastern aimags on March 9, in the northern region on March 10, and in some parts of western, central, and eastern aimags on March 11.
Wind speed will reach 18-20 m/sec in central, Gobi, and eastern aimags on March 8, and in most parts of the country on March 11.
In the depression of Lake Uvs and Darkhad, in the head of Zavkhan river, in the basins of Ider and Tes rivers, and near Khurenbelchir, the temperature will range from -31 to -36 degrees Celsius during the night, and -17 to -22 during the day.
In mountainous areas of Khangai, Khuvsgul, and Khentei, in the basins of Eg-Uur, Kharaa, Yuruu, Tuul, Terelj, Kherlen, Onon, Ulz, and Khalkh rivers, the temperature will be -26 to -31 during the night, and -11 to -16 during the day.
In the southern Gobi region, the temperature will be -10 to -15 during the night, and 0 to -5 during the day. In other areas, the night-time temperature will be -18 to -23 degrees Celsius, and daytime temperature will be -8 to -13 degrees Celsius.
