As of July 27, there are 288 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mongolia and 218 of them have been already recovered. In the past 24 hours, the NCCD carried out 264 coronavirus tests at three laboratories nationwide and no new case has been detected.

Earlier on July 20, the NCCD reported that 23 patients, who were staying under sanatorium-based isolation as a precautionary measure after being recovered from COVID-19, tested positive for COVID-19 again.

Mr. Ambaselmaa today informed that “Since the patients had tested positive for the virus again, three-time repeated tests were conducted on 11 of the 23 patients, which came out negative and they have been recently transferred to home-isolation from the sanatorium-the government-designated isolation facility. Afterwards, another four people have tested negative on three-time repeated tests and transferred to home isolation as well. Out of the 23 people, there are eight people in isolation at sanatorium at this moment and will be tested again for the virus soon.”
