Germany gives additional support for COVID-19 response in TVET sector

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. October 8, an official ceremony to present the COVID-19 response in Mongolian Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Sector funded by the Government of Germany was organized at the Institute at Engineering and Technology.
The Ambassador of Germany H.E. Jörn Rosenberg and Minister of Labor and Social Protection Ms. A. Ariunzaya attended the event to introduce the additional support from the Government of Germany for addressing challenges in the TVET sector posed by COVID-19 pandemic. The additional support aims to strengthen the resilience of the TVET sector in Mongolia through improving e-learning system, IT infrastructure, hygiene standards for TVET institutions, employability of TVET graduates, online career guidance towards people with disability as well as gender-sensitive awareness of TVET. As the first result the TVET Resource Pool has been launched at the event, providing teachers and students of 81 TVET schools nationwide with learning resources. It is an integrated database that includes all e-learning materials available in the sector.
The initiative is embedded in the “Cooperative Technical and Vocational Education and Training” (cTVET) project implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in partnership with Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
