Workshop on Integrated Planning of Infrastructure Corridors for Mongolia organized

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Online Workshop on The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific Web-Toolkit for Integrated Planning of Infrastructure Corridors for Mongolia was successfully organized on May 19, 2021 for Mongolian policy makers and invited participants.


The key objective of the workshop was to present the knowledge products and web-based tools, developed by UN ESCAP, and build new skills of the policymakers and other stakeholders in using the methodology and tools for efficient expansion of seamless trans-boundary infrastructure. 


Web-based tools, including Simulation tool for determining the most appropriate model for the development of new Integrated Corridors, and Partnership Portal on Co-deployment to support ICT infrastructure co-deployment with road transport and energy infrastructure, were introduced at the online workshop.


The training participants, policymakers and other respective stakeholders were equipped with capacity and practical skills to implement knowledge products for developing relevant policy measures, which consider cross sectoral synergy, to apply the proposed Software for determining the most appropriate scenario, with optimal partnership model for the development of new Infrastructure Corridors, and to learn building partnerships for efficient ICT infrastructure co-deployment with road-transport and energy infrastructure through https://co-deployment.online.
