Activities of National Council on Science and Technology to be intensified

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its meeting on September 29, the Cabinet decided to create an office to support the National Council on Science and Technology.
Moreover, the Cabinet updated the ‘List of Research Institutes and Centers’ with the addition of the Forest Research Institute and Institute of Thermal, Technical and Industrial Ecology of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, as well as the Institute of Neuroscience, Psychology and Technology Incubator of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences.
Relevant authorities including the Minister of Education and Science was instructed to look into creating a legal framework regulating shared laboratories, facilitating procurement of laboratory equipment, using the land of the Botanical Garden of the Botanical Garden of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences as intended and zoning the land for special use.
The Cabinet also discussed the development of an action plan for introducing a performance based financing system in the sector, accelerating digital transformation, and upskilling the workforce.
