Ministry of Education and Science pledge to plant 65 million trees

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The Ministry of Education and Science will take the lead in the successful implementation of the “Billion Tree” nationwide campaign, initiated by the President of Mongolia, with the sector's skilled personnel, scientific knowledge, new technologies and methodologies.

 

The Ministry has expressed that the sector jointly with universities and research institutes will take part in the nationwide campaign by conducting training, research and production in increasing the number of green spaces in urban areas, building protective strips for agriculture and infrastructure, reforesting arid regions.


The Ministry of Education and Science has pledged to plant 65 million trees by 2030. The organizations that participated actively in the nationwide campaign will be rewarded, reports the Ministry.
