Project on reducing heat loss to be implemented in most populous districts

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Governor’s Office of the Capital city will jointly implement the second phase of the project themed ‘Increasing electricity efficiency by improving budget investment’.Opening meeting regarding the project took place at the Fresh Water and Natural Conservation Center on January 8.
In the second phase, the project targeted to Bayanzurkh and Songinokhairkhan, over populated districts to improve insulation of their school and kindergarten buildings to reduce heat loss, and improve investment and planning polices of the Capital city from 2018 to 2021. The project will be realized with the fund equaled to 1MNT billion. Moreover, additional MNT 1 billion will be allocated from the Capital city budget to renovate buildings.

Mr David Hankok, Director of the project said that buildings suitable for sharp fluctuations of Mongolian extreme continental weather, comfortable, reasonably priced and energy and heat efficiency can fully meet needs of Mongolians. In the scope of the project, buildings will be improved using cutting-edge technologies and structure to ensure sustainability in future will be created.
