Meeting held with WB’s Governance Practice Manager
Society
Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On April 4, S.Narantsogt, Deputy
Minister of Economy and Development, received Ms. Alma Kanani, World Bank
Governance Practice Manager for East Asia and the Pacific.
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister introduced in detail
the Ministry’s mission and activities such as formulating Mongolia’s
short-term, medium and long-term development plans, providing unified
methodology and management for the implementation of the plans, and improving
socio-economic capacity inclusively and sustainably.
Ms. Kanani expressed commitment to cooperate in strengthening
the Ministry’s activities and improving the human resource capacity, and to support
the research and development of targeted programs to be formulated in the near
future.
In the conclusion of the meeting, Deputy Minister
S.Narantsogt thanked the World Bank for its active participation in the pre-discussion
of the Mongolian Economic Forum and welcomed the participation of Marcello
Estevao, Global Director of the World Bank Group's Macroeconomics, Trade
and Investment Global Practice as a keynote speaker at the upcoming
forum.
