Ulaanbaatar,
February 3, 2023 /MONTSAME/. Mongolia
and India maintain close cooperation in the education sector in the framework
of our two countries' diplomatic relations. Under this cooperation, the
Government of India implemented a scholarship program for Mongolian women this
year.
In order to increase the participation of women in introducing
solar energy into local towns, Mongolian 28 women from 11 aimags were engaged
in three months of intensified international training program in off grid solar
energy technologies, funded by the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation
program in India. According to the officials, the trainees acquired the
required knowledge and skills to use a clean and sustainable solar energy
system that operates independently from the integrated power grid system.
For example, installation of solar panels on the roof of the residential
buildings, assembly of LED and home lighting systems, installation of solar
water pumping systems, etc.
Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Mongolia Mohinder
Pratap Singh said, “Under the cooperation between Mongolia and India, 350
Mongolian professionals have participated in professional development training
in this field. The Oil refinery plant is going to be put into operation soon.
Thus, this kind of training will play a vital role in preparing the required
personnel. I hope that our two countries' cooperation, especially in improving
the solar system technology, will be further maintained and strengthened.”
