E-Sports Tournament with USD 100,000 Prize Pool to Be Held in Ulaanbaatar

Ulaanbaatar, October 10, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The Governor’s Office of the Capital City of Mongolia and the Mongolian E-Sports Association (MESA) will jointly organize the “MESA Invitational Fall 2024” Dota-2 e-sports tournament with a prize pool of USD 100,000 on November 4, 2024.
E-sports have been continuously developing with competitions being held with bigger prize pools, more spectators, and fanbase. Mongolian e-sport athletes are achieving great success, regularly competing with the best teams in the world, and winning larger prizes.
The Mongolian E-Sports Association (MESA), stated “This year, we successfully organized the MESA Nomadic Masters for Counter-Strike 2, featuring a $100,000 prize pool with 8 teams (4 from Europe and 4 from Asia) competing over 3 days. Top international organizations such as OG, Gaimin Gladiators, Bleed, and Aurora participated, and now we are ready to welcome the best DOTA 2 teams to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.”
Ulaanbaatar has set the goal to host “A” tier e-sports tournaments annually, starting from 2027, on par with major e-sports hosting cities such as Cologne, Germany, or Katowice, Poland, to become an e-sports center in Asia.
